Baked Smoked Salmon Spread

I know many of you don't know what "cold smoked" or "baked smoked" salmon is.

It has nothing to do with lox, or traditional smoked salmon, instead, it is a different process, and comes vacuum packed in actual piece of fish.
You can find it in most appetizing sections of better markets, and also Trader Joe's sells a version (but I find it much too salty).

This is a fabulous dip, spread, to use that hunk of smoked fish with.
You could also use smoked trout if you can't find the salmon.

Here's how I made it:

1 piece of "cold baked smoked salmon"
2 tbsp capers
1 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp mayo
1 tsp hot sauce or tabasco
handful of chives
handful of chopped dill

Flake the piece of fish into a bowl and add in the rest of the ingredients.

I like to put it in a ring mold to be fancy.

Refrigerate for at least an hour to chill.

Best served with crackers and cucumber slices.

Loved.
