End of Summer Harvest Dinner
Though fall doesn't officially start until Sept. 20, it feels like summer is over.
The kids are back in school; no more wearing white pants after Labor Day (though you know I will!); the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler.
My tomatoes are still going crazy, as well as the eggplant and zucchini for another few weeks.
I made a nice dinner to celebrate the end of the summer harvest with the last of our green beans, an onion tart from our onions, a pasta with our beautiful heirloom tomatoes, some fresh figs w/ burrata and mint, some crostini and some nice chilled wine.
We are planting some fall crops, more spinach and some more beets in the Militant Community Garden, why not?
It ain't over, till it's over.
